The Voynich Manuscript: Alpine Sea Holly

Eringium - Sea Holly - was originally proposed by Ethel Voynich as possibility for fol. 16v. of the Voynich Manuscript (Beinecke 408).  Eryngium alpinum - Alpine Sea Holly - the cut of the flower and the leaves match best the VMs drawing, in my opinion.

  1. Good Morning!

Where are you finding Ethel Voynich's records? I hope they aren't further evidence of D'Imperio's obfuscation of the US Government's efforts to determine if the manuscript was some king of "code".

If so, it is now some 70 years of needless effort to solve what was indeed an elegant enigma -- but not a code. The Vms IS an elegant compilation of "Nurse/Midwife" methodology during some very troubled history. History with a capital "H" ! Medieval to Modern....

    Hmmm?
