The Voynich Manuscript: Arctic Sweet Coltsfoot

One of my favorite plant ids by Steve D is the Arctic sweet coltsfoot (Petasites frigidus v. palmatus) for fol. 41v of the Voynich manuscript. The detail above the root appears to be antlers of male European roe deer and the rest of the root may be representing deer's feet. So the common name at the time of the artist may have been not coltsfoot but something like 'bucksfoot'.
